Photo Gallery: 15th Thermal waste treatment symposium

The 15th and last Thermal Waste Treatment Symposium (German: 15. Fachtagung "Thermische Abfallbehandlung") took place in Dresden Germany on the 9th and 10th of March, 2010. The symposium was organized by the waste management chairs of the TU München (Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Faulstich), Uni Kassel (Prof. Dr.-Ing. Arnd I. Urban) and TU Dresden (Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bernd Bilitewski).

Professionals from all over Germany and Austria presented their new research findings and shared knowledge from a total of six questions:

  1. What changes to the current environmental regulation for thermal use of residual and recyclables must be considered?
  2. How can the shortage of fuel be compensated?
  3. How can waste management help to protect the climate?
  4. Which are the new technical developments in the context of thermal waste treatment?
  5. How can residues be better used?
  6. What has been learned from the mistakes of the past?
