Using of Soil Material in Czech Republic
In the Czech Republic the problem of disposal of mineral waste is solved by the Act No. 185/2001 Coll., on wastes, particularly its Section 11. The conditions of exploitation of wastes on the ground surface are set by Reg. No. 294/2005 Coll., on the conditions of deposition of wastes in landfills and their exploitation on ground surface, and on change of Regulation
No. 383/2001 Coll., on details of waste management.

Feasibiltiy analysis of an anaerobic digestion plant for swine sector in Aragón
The objective of this study was to investigate the feasibility of an anaerobic digestion process, taking into account raw material, logistics, Spain policies, digester design, biogas production, cogeneration production and financial model. As a result of this study it was found biogas production from Aragón swine manure residues, have a positive result from environmental and financial (IRR=17.7%) point of view, by codigestion with poultry slurry.

6th BMBF Forum for Sustainability "Research for Sustainability - One Step Further"
The 6th BMBF Forum for Sustainability "Research for Sustainability - One Step Further" will take place 9 - 10 September 2009 at the Prototyp-Museum in Hamburg. Prof Dr Frieder Meyer-Krahmer, State Secretary to the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, will inaugurate the conference which aims at strengthening the collaboration of politics, science and industry.
Catalysts are a hot topic at the Lindau Meeting of Nobel Laureates 2009
There have been three Nobel Prizes awarded for catalysis research since 2001 alone. Four of the Laureates honoured in this connection - Ryoji Noyori, Robert Grubbs, Richard Schrock and Gerhard Ertl - will be on hand in Lindau from June 28th to July 3rd to discuss the outlook in their field with 600 young researchers from 66 countries. The event in Lindau will also feature a podium discussion on the role of chemistry in developing renewable energies (Wednesday, July 1st ).
